How do I enable Conversion Tracking?

Conversion tracking uses cookies set by Liveclicker, enabled for viewers of your videos. This will cause a session cookie and a persistent cookie to be set on the domain, and updated every time a video is viewed in that browser.

Add the following Javascript tag to your order confirmation page:

<script type="text/javascript" src="[account]&

If you would like to associate your own order identifier with this data, you can optionally provide an order_id parameter, which can be any string of characters up to length 64:

<script type="text/javascript" src="[account]&

For example, consider this tag:

<script type="text/javascript" src="

This tag informs Liveclicker that an order for account 16 has occurred, for $19.99. The order id is "order123".

If you would like to indicate the product or products involved in the purchase, use the optional product_ids parameter, which takes a comma-separated list of product identifiers. Example:

<script type="text/javascript" src="

Finally, if your site accepts orders in multiple currencies, you can optionally pass the 3-character currency code of the currency used, and the value of the order in 100ths of the currency (cents, pence, etc.). That is:

<script type="text/javascript" src="[account]&

For example:

<script type="text/javascript" src="

This represents an order for 19.99 British Pounds. Liveclicker stores both the order value in its original currency, and in the default currency for the account at the time the order was received.

  • The request is secure, using HTTPS, so it may be placed on a secure order confirmation page.
  • The tag will have no effect on the layout of the page.
  • Because the cookie information is stored in Liveclicker's domain, even videos not viewed on your site (e.g. shared videos or videos posted on other pages such as blogs) will be correctly tracked.
